When Sylvia Rzepka, simply Sylvi to us, talks about horses, you quickly notice: this is not a pastime, it is a way of life. Her family kept sport horses, she was in the saddle at nine and competing at twelve.
On her way early
At 16 she was already ready to ride in the Open class and spent a year in the USA. Afterwards her decision was made: she wanted to ride professionally. She has been a professional since 1993.
From cutting to reining
At first her heart belonged to cutting. From 1997/98 she concentrated fully on reining, and in 1999 she won the Open Futurity of the German NRHA as the first woman. Countless wins and top placings in all major events in Europe have followed since.
Today
Sylvi trains independently at the HD Schulz facility in Wiener Neustadt in Austria. We are proud to have her on our team. You can read more about her training at sr-horse-training.com, and find her Friends code on the Riders page.
